Pathology Department Hosts Informative Seminar on Molecular Diagnostics and Hepatitis Management in Collaboration with Agha Khan University
A seminar in the Department of Pathology WMC was conducted on 11 June 2024 in collaboration with Agha Khan University. The event featured two distinguished speakers: Dr. Natasha Anwar from Agha Khan University and Dr. Mazhar Tanoli from WMC. Dr. Natasha Anwar delivered a presentation on the evolving role of molecular diagnostics in HBV and HCV infections. Dr. Mazhar Tanoli, representing Jinnah International Hospital Abbottabad, discussed the hepatitis C virus, covering its introduction, symptoms, diagnosis, and management.
The seminar began with a welcome address by Dr. Masood Ahmad Khan, Head of the Pathology Department, and concluded with remarks from Managing Director Dr. Azhar Khan Jadoon. Shields and certificates were presented to the speakers by Dr. Azhar Khan Jadoon and Prof. Dr. Salma Aslam Kundi.
