A symposium was held in Women Medical College WMC Auditorium on September 4 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:45 PM. It was held by Women Medical College and Women Institute of Learning and Rehabilitation Sciences WILRS, Medical Women Association of Pakistan, Pakistan Medical Association.

200 Students of 1st Year and 2nd Year MBBS and 150 students of 2nd and 4th semester DPT and Psychology attended presentations on the following topics:
1. Dealing with Mental Issues, Anxiety, Depression and Suicide.
2. Mental Health Prevention
3. Use of Illicit Drugs

The presentation was given by a leading psychiatrist of Hazara Dr. Muhammad Sadique (MS of Dadar Mental Hospital and Dr. Ehsan Naveed (A Leading Psychiatrist at Dadar Mental Hospital)

We have a very strong faculty of Women Institute of Learning and Rehabilitation Sciences WIRLS and the Psychologist of Women Medical College WMC from the DME Department also actively participated.

In the afternoon the students of 3rd, 4th and Final Year MBBS, 8th and 10th Semester (DPT) and 6th and 8th Semester (Psychology) attended presentations on the following topics:
1. Women Empowerment
2. Leadership
3. Career Counseling

It was a wonderful Seminar. Principal WMC Prof. Dr. Salma Aslam Kundi and Managing Director WMC Dr. Azhar Khan Jadoon distributed shields and certificates to the speakers. It was well attended and enjoyed by all.
